July 2010 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam Results

Excited much?

I know you are if you took the exam or simply just a dear friend or loved-one of one who took it.

If you were an examinee, stay calm. You've done your best, right? Whether or not you'd be successful in this endeavor of yours, it does not tell what kind of nurse you are going to be in the future. Having to have undergone all those trials in the past 4 years in the nursing school, you are already competent enough to work as one.

If you are a concerned loved-one of the examinee, please support him/her and be there with him/her whether or not he/she got this one. Okay?

The results is also not around yet. Be back in this site for updates.

I wish you the best of luck, though. Read More...

Updating My BLog For The Results of June 2009 Philippines Nursing Licensure (Board) Exam Results

It's Saturday, July 25th (1:00 pm). The results of June 2009 Philippine Nursing Licensure (Board) Exam has not been posted anywhere. You may wonder why I edited my sidebar with 'June 2009 PNLE Results'. It does not contain the results yet. I'm just editing it so that it would be faster for me to post the results there. I know the feeling about all these things. I have been there. There are many blogs out there misleading you (Hey, we have now the results! Download this .pdf file! You got so excited only to find out that the file contains 'Be back when the results are ready' - I hate that!) There is no way I'm emulating this kind of tactic. Again, I'm just updating my blog so that I could do my thing faster.

Stay cool. :-)

June 2009 Philippine Nursing Licensure (Board) Exam Results Update

June 1 & 2, 2008 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam (PNLE) Results was released 24th of July. Basing on that, it is therefore probable that the results of the June 6 & 7, 2009 PNLE Results will come out anytime this or the next week. I also read on a blog comment telling that the results are to be released this Sunday, 26th of July. I just don't know how true it is since it's a weekend, no work at PRC during that day. Maybe they'll (PRC) give it an exception though and work on that day.

I know that it so much agonizing to wait for the results and thus I'll recommend that you pray a lot, I mean pray MORE since I believe you have been praying a lot already. Also prepare yourself in whatever the results may be. Don't also forget how to do deep breathing and other relaxation techniques you learn at school. For sure you'll most need them during the release of the results. Yeah, I wish you luck.

Have a great day! :-)

June 2009 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam: Are you Ready?

In less than a month from now (specifically on June 6 and 7, 2009), thousands of Nursing graduates from various parts of the Philippines will again gather in different Regional Testing Centers nationwide to take the June 2009 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam (PNLE). I'm guessing that it would be the largest number of board exam takers in the history of Philippine board exams since only 39,455 or 44.51% out of 88,649 examinees of the previous PNLE last November of 2008 passed. Most of those 40, 000+ who did not able to make it in November will most probably be taking the exam again this June together with the thousands of the new nursing graduates. My question to every examinee now then is: Are you ready?

Here are some helpful tips from bloggers across the web on how to make it successful in this endeavor of yours:

In your preparation:
  • Physical preparations such as hiking on weekends and indulging into sports like basketball and volleyball, surely would help keep reviewees physically fit and alert.
  • Never memorize symbols and formulas, remember them. Commit to your memory not just the symbols in a formula, but include, as well, its importance and what each parameter and variable denotes.
  • Review courses teach reviewees how to get ready not just mentally but spiritually and physically too. Spiritual readiness involves prayer. Pray, that no matter what the outcome would be, you'd stay strong. That God may grantthe gift of knowledge to understand every question, is something reviewees should never forget to pray for.
-Salalwildthoughts (Blogspot) -
  • Learn your subjects and what you should focus more on.
  • Take it easy. Don’t pressure yourself from any expectations. Just relax. Keep a clear mind. And study hard
- Peperazzi (Multiply) -
  • Study starts on day one. At the end of each day read over the notes for the topics that you have discussed. Do not try to learn them, simply read them through and make sure that you understand what is being said.
  • Learning naturally comes after reading and understanding. Ask questions about certain topics that you do not understand. Don’t let the day pass you by and leave it unanswered. It is a good habit to start studying on day one rather than cramming. It will most likely cause you to have mental block if you’re forcing yourself to remember what you are studying immediately.
  • Try not to study on your own. Look for a study partner so that both of you shall benefit from improved understanding of different topic. Remember, two heads are better than one.
  • Don’t overdo it! Try to study 30 to 45 minutes and then find an activity that you can do for 15 minutes in between study periods. For example: you can watch TV, do some stretching, watch your favorite DVDs, do something to take away the boredom that’s settling in your mind. Your no. 1 enemy is boredom. Try to overcome it. Your brain needs to reset, and besides the first 30 to 45 minutes is the maximum time you can study with efficiency.
  • Simply do your best; you cannot do more than that.

During the exam:
  • Do proper shading. Just a one-direction stroke of about 4-5 strokes will suffice as long as the whole box is shaded. Not too light and not too dark or you might make a hole in your answer sheet. If you have sweaty palms, it is recommended that you bring a small towel.
  • Avoid erasures as much as possible. Use a Staedtler eraser.
  • Use a chinese menthol stick. If you are sleepy, apply it on your face just beside the eyes. It will keep you awake and focused.
  • Wear something red. It's a lucky charm according to Fengshui experts. A red handkerchief will do.

Just choose what do you think works for you. And yeah, prayer helps - A lot!!!

Goodluck to you!

Nurses eyed to be ‘warriors of wellness’

February 09, 2009 13:01:00
Joel Guinto
INQUIRER.net

MANILA, Philippines – President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has announced that the government would hire unemployed nurses to become "warriors of wellness" in poverty-stricken areas.

The Nurses Assigned in Rural Areas (NARS) program, which the President launched Monday, will deploy five nurses in each of the 1,000 poorest municipalities. Each nurse can have two six-month tours of duty and will be paid an allowance of P8,000 per month, the President said.

The President said the government would spend "less than" P500 million for the program. She urged municipal mayors to pitch in P2,000 as their "counterpart" allowance for each of the nurses.

"We are launching NARS, or nurses assigned in rural areas... They shall be mobilized in their home towns, these warriors for wellness shall do three I's," she said in a speech during a jobs summit at the Palace.

The "three I's" are: "initiate" health and nutrition programs and
first line diagnosis, "inform" communities about water sanitation and health surveillance, and "immunize" children and their mothers.

Arroyo said nurses who lack experience would find it hard to get jobs in hospitals here and abroad.

"They shall also serve as roving nurses for rural schools," she added.

November 2008 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam Results

Updates on the November 2008 Philippine Nursing Licesure Exam Results:

On an Inq7.net report, BON member Marco Antonio Sto. Tomas said, "With this volume of examinees, we might have the results next year already, in January or February(2009)." "It depends on how fast the machines will help us in the checking," he added.

Backtrack:

The results of the December 2007 NLE Exam was released on February 21, 2008. The exam was held on Dec 1 and 2, 2007 with 60thousand+ examinees.

Exam takers last November 2008 are 20thousand+ more if we try to compare it. This is one good reason why it is taking the PRC long to check the papers. Not to mention the two-week long Christmas Holiday.

Release Date:

As mentioned, there is no definite date that the BON announced for the release of the November 2008 Nursing Licensure Examination but just recently the blog admin has been informed that it will be on February 20-22.
